The components of the 2017 proposed Overall Levy are as follows: Capital Improvements For 2017, the median taxable valuation in St. Anthony is $260,000. Based on the median valuation of $260,000, the “City Portion” of property taxes totals $1,670.93. A breakdown of the taxes is as follows: 1) General Fund Budget $ 948.84 2) Road Improvements $ 485.17 3) Public Facilities $ 95.91 4) Capital Improvements $ 81.30 5) Tax Abatement $ 59.71 Total $1,670.93 To help offset the cost of operations and capital equipment, Staff seeks Grants and Donations from Federal, State and private sources. Recently accepted Grants include: • Rice Creek Watershed District Mirror Lake Flooding - $1,142,000 • Mississippi Watershed Management Organization Additional Grant - $35,000 • Hennepin County Recycling Grant - $20,768 • Public Safety Officer's Disability Grant (Fire Department) - $3,853 • Bell Mortgage (Fire Department) - $2,500 • Kiwanis Club of St Anthony (Police Department) - $500 In addition, the City has received $10,565,371 from the US Army to construct an AOP water treatment addition to the plant. At tonight’s Council meeting a resolution needs to be passed adopting the 2017 budgets and certifying the final tax levy to Hennepin and Ramsey Counties.
