CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 16-089 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION SETTING THE FINAL 2017 TAX LEVY AND ADOPTING THE 2017 <br />BUDGET DOCUMENT FOR THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota State Law requires that the City of St. Anthony Village provide Hennepin and <br />Ramsey Counties with a final 2017 certified property tax levy and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council discussed key financial issues and budgeting goals at the January, 2016, <br />goal setting session, held a public meeting on April 26, 2016 for input on the budget <br />process, reviewed the 2017 Road Improvements and 2017 Debt Levy in a work session held <br />June 29 2016, reviewed the 2017 preliminary levy and General Fund revenues and expenses <br />in a work session held August 1, 2016, the 2017-2033 Capital improvement Budgets were <br />reviewed at the October 31, 2016 work session, public meetings were held August 23, 2016 <br />and September 13, 2016 for public input on the 2017 budget. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the allowed Debt Levies will be reduced by $371,141; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City Council held the required Truth in Taxation meeting on Tuesday, December 13, <br />2016, 7:00 P.M. in its Council Chambers, to discuss the 2017 budget and property tax levy <br />with the residents of St. Anthony Village; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information required for the City Council to determine a Final 2017 property tax levy <br />has been collected <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br /> <br />1) The Final 2017 Property Tax Levy is: <br /> <br /> General Operating Levy $3,573,493 <br /> Housing and Redevelopment Authority Levy $ 157,800 <br /> Capital Improvement Project Levy $ 233,200 <br /> Road Improvement Levy $1,827,208 <br /> Lease Revenue Bonds $ 361,207 <br /> Tax Abatement Levy $ 224,877 <br /> Building Improvement Levy $ 73,000 <br /> $6,450,785 <br /> <br />2) The fund budgets included in the 2017 Budget document be adopted as the final fund budgets <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />33
