To reflect housing sales and the real estate market, the County Assessor indicates that overall <br />residential property values have declined. The median valuation in 2013 totals $207,000 compared to <br />$223,000 in 2012. <br />The 2013 property taxes on an average residential property are as follows: <br />Median Taxable Valuation: $ 207,000 <br />City portion of property taxes: $1,380.21 <br />A breakdown of the operating budgets is as follows: <br />General Fund $ 810.50 <br />Roads $ 419.12 <br />Public Works /Fire Buildings $ 99.19 <br />Tax Abatement $ 38.32 <br />CIP 13.02 <br />Total $1,380.21 <br />To provide an understanding of what St. Anthony residents receive for their property tax dollars, the <br />following page has a breakdown by Department of the costs for basic services relating to the proposed <br />2013 operating budget and property tax levy for a property valued at $207,000. <br />10 <br />
