Donations from private sources along with City partnerships with local <br />organizations also generate financial benefits. Since 1999 the City has received $31,627,561 in total <br />grants, donations and US Army AOP proceeds. When spread over a population of 8,965, this represents <br />$3,528 per resident. <br /> <br />Recently accepted Grants include: <br />• Rice Creek Watershed District Mirror Lake Flooding - $1,142,000 <br />• Mississippi Watershed Management Organization Additional Grant - $35,000 <br />• Hennepin County Recycling Grant - $20,768 <br />• Public Safety Officer's Disability Grant (Fire Department) - $3,853 <br />• Bell Mortgage (Fire Department) - $2,500 <br />• Kiwanis Club of St Anthony (Police Department) - $500 <br /> <br />In addition, the City has received $10,565,371 from the US Army to construct the AOP water treatment <br />addition to the plant. <br /> <br />6
