City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />February 28, 2017 <br />Page 5 <br />2 Councilmember Stille thanked Mr. Casey and staff for their work in 2016. Councilmember Gray <br />3 echoed Councilmember Stille's comments and noted Mr. Casey and staff didn't miss a beat. <br />4 Councilmember Brever agreed and thanked Mr. Casey and staff for their hard work. <br />5 Councilmember Jenson agreed and stated 54 pages of documentation of highlights and <br />6 accomplishments is outstanding. <br />8 Mayor Faust stated he is not sure the public is aware or appreciates what goes on in the City, <br />9 noting a number of balls are juggled by Council and staff. He stated he appreciates Mr. Casey's <br />10 service and that of the staff. The effort is appreciated. <br />11 <br />12 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />13 <br />14 Councilmember Gray reported on February 15, 2017 he attended the Tri -City Body Cam Work <br />15 Group Meeting. The group is progressing well. On February 16, he attended the stakeholders <br />16 meeting for the North Suburban Access Corporation. <br />17 <br />18 Councilmember Brever reviewed on Tuesday, February 21 and February 27, the Collaborative <br />19 Cohort had teleconferences. More information will be forthcoming. On February 22, she <br />20 attended a GARE meeting. On February 27, she attended the Comprehensive Plan Steering <br />21 Committee Meeting. <br />22 <br />23 Councilmember Jenson stated on February 15, he attended the Kiwanis Meeting. On February <br />24 16, he attended the CTV Stakeholders Meeting. On February 23, he attended the Ramsey County <br />25 Local League of Governments Meeting. He announced on March 5, the St. Anthony Civic <br />26 Orchestra will present a Spring Concert at the Civic Center. <br />27 <br />28 Councilmember Stille reported on February 22, he attended the GARE meeting in Minneapolis. <br />29 On February 27, he attended the Collaborative Cohort Meeting. <br />30 <br />31 Mayor Faust stated February 22, the City Manager, Police Chief, and he met with the DOJ Cops <br />32 Program and the LOMC Staff to review GARE and other initiatives. <br />33 <br />34 City Manager Casey added some comments about the February 22 meeting he attended with <br />35 Mayor Faust and the Police Chief. He added the Liquor Operations Manager is also a member of <br />36 the GARE Cohort. <br />37 <br />38 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />39 <br />40 Mayor Faust invited residents to come forward at this time and address the Council on items that <br />41 are not on the regular agenda. <br />42 <br />43 Ms. Kate Martin, 2531 301h Avenue, stated she is concerned about her friends and neighbors that <br />44 live in Lowry Grove. She is a member of SAFCA. She provided information about the <br />45 affordability housing meeting that was held on February 17, 2017. They learned about <br />46 affordability housing and the need in the metro area. There are not affordable housing <br />
