2016 Annual Report • Fire Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />14 | Page <br /> <br /> <br />• Just over 400 hours were spent in house training those same rookies this year on, <br />pumping, driving and our day to day operations. <br />• This includes 12 hours of EMT training for each of our members who are EMTs. <br />• Four of our members received 32 additional hours of Hazardous Materials Training <br />through our membership with the North Suburban Hazmat Team. <br />• Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training and Education grant from 2015-16 was fully <br />utilized and additional monies were applied for. The total training expenses reimbursed <br />totaled over $4000. <br />• The time line for our rookie program encompasses about 18 months from the onset of <br />training to being sworn in as a Fire Fighter. 2 of our 3 rookies have completed their <br />training within 13 months and our 3rd is nearing completion. We began training in <br />December for a class of 5 rookies, and expect their training to finish at the end of 2017. <br />• Total active staff at year end 29 (5 Rookies hired in December) <br />• Total staff training hours for 2016 was 2173 or 90.5 per member. <br /> <br />LIVE FIRE TRAINING <br />Live Fire training at the St. Paul Fire Training Tower.
