2015 Annual Report • Administration • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />42 <br /> <br /> Educate consumers and staff at each city and GMHC in universal design and aging in <br />place <br /> Provide outreach at a variety of community settings <br /> Provide educational materials to industry professionals <br /> <br />Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation <br />(GMHC) <br />The Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation (GMHC) is a nonprofit housing organization <br />that works with local communities to provide home improvement programs and support viable <br />healthy neighborhoods. Since 2002 the city of St. Anthony has contracted GMHC to provide the <br />following programs through its Housing Resource Center: <br />• A city funded Home Improvement Loan Program that offers homeowners up to $10,000 <br />at a fixed interest rate of 3%. <br />• An Incentive Grant Program that gives back to homeowners a portion of the funds they <br />invest in improving their homes. <br />• Free consultations with an experienced construction manager to help homeowners <br />prioritize, plan and execute home improvement projects, whether they are hiring <br />contractors or doing it themselves. <br />To access programs and services, St. Anthony residents should call the Housing Resource <br />Center at (612) 588-3033. <br />The public funds invested in these programs have leveraged significant private investments as <br />seen in the Table below. <br />2002 - 2015 <br />Services Number <br />Total City <br />Funds <br />Total Home Owner <br />Investment <br />Loans 18 $152,000 $266,258 <br />Incentive Grants 92 $ 78,135 $826,747 <br />Construction <br />Consultation 838 –––– ––––
