2015 Annual Report • Police Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota

3 | Page

III. Contract City Summary
The St. Anthony Police Department’s relationship with Falcon Heights and Lauderdale has been a long
standing mutually beneficial collaboration. Providing law enforcement services to these communities
has allowed us to share services and the ability to create multiple resources none of us, on our own,
could afford. In recognition of our long standing relationship and successful cooperative efforts, our
three city councils were able to agree on a multiple year contract. This long term contract builds stability
and ensures continuity of services for all three cities.

We are fortunate to have three strong city councils that have the same shared vision. It is important that
the St. Anthony Council has an idea of our activity level in our contract cities and, to this end, I would
like to offer some statistics for Lauderdale and Falcon Heights as a part of the St. Anthony Annual
Report. We provide all of the same services in Lauderdale and Falcon Heights as we do in St. Anthony,
and we also ascribe to the same principles for law enforcement and crime prevention.

As a part of our crime prevention program, we ran dozens of events for Lauderdale and Falcon Heights
to include many of the same or similar programs detailed in the St. Anthony report. In Lauderdale, we
issued 2,055 citations and made 537 arrests. In Falcon Heights, we issued 2,300 citations and made 700
arrests. We also keep track of Part I and Part II Crimes in our contract cities. In Lauderdale, we
investigated 77 Part I Crimes and 107 Part II Crimes. Falcon Heights Part I Crimes came in at 94 and Part
II at 102. We also handled 3,317 calls for service in Falcon Heights and 2,481 in Lauderdale.

When combining the three cities, the statistics for our police department become substantial, keeping us
very busy throughout the year. The following is a summary combination of all three cities:

Arrests 2,070
Citations 6,765
Calls for Service 11,984
Part I Crimes 347
Part II Crimes 373

We are proud to provide quality professional law enforcement services to both our citizens and
businesses as well as to our contract city partners.
