Sustainability <br />Mission: To be a progressive and livable community, “walkable” Village which is sustainable, <br />safe and secure. <br />MINNESOTA GREENCORPS MEMBER <br />This year, the city was selected to receive a <br />Minnesota GreenCorps Member, Kristin <br />Seaman. Kristin is a graduate from the <br />University of Minnesota- Twin Cities, with a <br />B.S. in Environmental Sciences, Policy and <br />Management. Starting in September 2015, <br />she will be with the city full-time until <br />August 2016 working on various <br />sustainability initiatives and strengthening <br />the city’s existing partnerships. Under the <br />GreenCorps program, her focus is Green <br />Infrastructure and Stormwater. <br />Projects: <br /> Planning 2016 Rain Barrel Workshop (MWMO Grant) <br /> Pollinator Pathway Project (Hennepin County Grant) <br /> Environmental Education <br /> Partnering with MWMO and <br />RCWD <br /> Assisting with city projects <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Picture from the 2015 Sustainability Fair at Silverwood Park
