2016 Annual Report • Administration • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />47 <br /> <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT COMMITTEE <br />On a quarterly basis the City Manager convenes a meeting with the Planner, Engineer, Fire <br />Marshal, Fire Chief (code enforcement), Finance Director, License/Permits Clerk and City Clerk <br />to discuss issues, share information and updates that affect current and potential development. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />OPEN TO BUSINESS <br />Open to Business provides one on one business counseling to current <br />and prospective entrepreneurs. Consultants work with residents and businesses to develop a <br />strong business plan, identify challenges and opportunities, and to tailor solutions. In addition <br />to direct consulting, Open to Business program staff can link entrepreneurs with additional <br />resources to help them succeed, including training programs, community or governmental <br />services, financial resources and industry and business professionals. <br />In 2016, Open to Business staff worked with St. Anthony clients on real estate analysis, strategic <br />planning, marketing, cash flow analysis and projections and loan packaging for a variety of <br />businesses. Open to Business worked with five St. Anthony entrepreneurs providing over 20 <br />hours of technical assistance.
