Planning Commission Regular Meeting Minutes <br />October 24, 2016 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />Village has been offering more than the statutory cap. There cannot be vacant homes in the park 1 <br />and they must be demolished. He stated The Village has acted appropriately 100% of the time 2 <br />and tonight, only the design was to be reviewed and asking for neighbors input and ideas. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Ms. Alvarez provided the Commission and Continental Property Group’s attorney with a copy of 5 <br />a letter written by HUD. She asked the attorney to stop destroying their community and stated 6 <br />they have $6M to pay. 7 <br /> 8 <br />Mr. Bill McConnell stated he has lived in Lowry Grove for 30 years and some of the hard 9 <br />questions are not being asked. He has not heard anything about how the land can support this 10 <br />type of building when there is possibly a lake under the land. He stated he does not believe any 11 <br />underground work can be done and asked if there has been an environmental impact study or has 12 <br />the Mississippi Watershed been notified as he believes there is a water table on the land. 13 <br /> 14 <br />A St. Anthony resident stated she lives in a mobile home and her daughter lives on McKinley. 15 <br />She explained when there was a major storm, she had to pump water out of her basement so she 16 <br />believes there is underground water in this area. 17 <br /> 18 <br />VII.
