At 26 years old, I can provide valuable insight into the long term sustainability of the city. My wife and I <br />plan to live in the city for a long time to come, and would like to provide a voice to young families <br />looking to settle in Saint Anthony. I would like to help implement the long term sustainability of the city, <br />and ensure that the vision in the comprehensive plan is implemented so that young professionals <br />continue to be drawn to the area. As the neighborhoods of the city turn over, and the next generation of <br />families move into the area, it is essential to provide planning initiatives that support new residents' <br />needs. <br />I can also offer a vision for the comprehensive planning process, land use planning issues, and zoning. I <br />have a background in these areas through my undergraduate degree in Land Use Planning, and a <br />master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning. I have chosen to use these degrees in the <br />environmental field, where I work for an environmental consulting firm, but feel that I can provide <br />insight, and also gain valuable experience by working with Saint Anthony Village. I hope to learn from <br />the community, while also providing my own insights into the important issues that will shape the city <br />for decades. <br />I think it is important for citizens to be involved in the community they live in, and the Planning <br />Commission provides a perfect opportunity for me to help shape the city for the better. I feel that I have <br />the experience to be an effective committee member and carry forward the vision that residents of the <br />city have laid out, and continue to lay out in the comprehensive planning process. <br />
