5 <br />1 Mayor Faust stated there were some complaints and questioned the naming of the event. Mr. <br />2 Christopherson stated he would like this to be an annual event where the community can come <br />3 together. He explained this is the first he's heard about any complaints and they want to work <br />4 with the community to make this work. <br />5 <br />6 Councilmember Gray asked the City Manager about what complaints were received. Mr. Casey <br />7 noted according to the police records there were three calls complaining about loud music. <br />8 Councilmember Gray noted the people who were there loved it. He suggested the timing of the <br />9 music be changed. <br />10 <br />11 Mayor Faust stated the Council can change the hours of the music as they need to be sensitive to <br />12 the neighbors not attending the event. He suggested 9 p.m. be the end of the music. Mayor Faust <br />13 stated it is also an issue of the noise after the music stops. <br />14 <br />15 Mr. Christopherson said 9 p.m. would be fine. <br />16 <br />17 Councilmember Stille stated it can be reviewed again before next year's event. City Manager <br />18 Casey stated he will give Mr. Christopherson a run -down after the event of any complaints <br />19 received. <br />20 <br />21 Motion by Councilmember Jenson, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to adopt Resolution 17- <br />22 047; a Resolution Approving a Special Event at The Unofficial on July 29, 2017 revising the <br />23 time for the music from 4 to 9 p.m. <br />24 <br />25 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />26 <br />27 D. Resolution 17 -048, a Resolution to Approve Special Event at The Unofficial on August <br />28 6, 2017 <br />29 <br />30 City Manager Casey stated Chris Christopherson has submitted a request to hold a special classic <br />31 car show event at The Unofficial Dive Bar & Grill on Saturday, August 6, 2017. <br />32 <br />33 Mr. Chris Christopherson reviewed the event, stating they would host the Spartans Classic Car <br />34 Club in their parking lot and have between 80 -100 beautifully restored 1964 and older classic <br />35 cars parked around the perimeter of their parking lot. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. <br />36 During the event, they would like to sell cans of beer and soda and sandwiches outside. They are <br />37 also requesting a DJ playing music at a reasonable volume. The DJ will play from 10 a.m. to 2 <br />38 p.m. <br />39 <br />40 Councilmember Brever noted this is Village Fest weekend and asked if there was another car <br />41 show on Sunday. Mayor Faust stated the only thing on Sunday is the pancake breakfast. <br />42 <br />43 Mayor Faust stated the timing for the music needs to be added to the resolution being 10 a.m. to <br />44 2 p.m. <br />45 <br />
