I Motion by Councilmember Stille, seconded by Councilmember Brever, to adopt Resolution 17- <br />2 048; a Resolution Approving a Special Event at The Unofficial on August 6, 2017 with DJ music <br />3 being from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. <br />4 <br />5 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />6 <br />7 E. Resolution 17 -049; a Resolution to Appoint Plannine Commissioner to Fill Vacancy <br />8 <br />9 City Manager Casey reviewed this resolution is to appoint Jedd Larson to the Planning <br />10 Commission. On May 8, 2017, the City received a resignation from Marshall Lichty whose term <br />11 ends on December 31, 2018. Mr. Jedd Larson applied and was interviewed last December for the <br />12 Planning Commission and would fill out Mr. Lichty's term through December 31, 2018. <br />13 <br />14 Commissioner Stille thanked Marshall Lichty for his service to the Planning Commission. Mayor <br />15 Faust agreed. <br />16 <br />17 Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to adopt Resolution 17- <br />18 049; a Resolution Appointing Jedd Larson to the Planning Commission through December 31, <br />19 2018. <br />20 <br />21 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />22 <br />23 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />24 <br />25 City Manager Casey had no report. <br />26 <br />27 Councilmember Jenson stated on May 16, he attended the tour of the City and the work session <br />28 that followed. On May 18, he attended Ramsey County Local League of Governments/Met <br />29 Council Joint Meeting. On May 22, he attended the Fire Department Relief Association Meeting. <br />30 <br />31 Councilmember Stille attended the May 16 City Tour. On May 17, he spoke at the Kiwanis <br />32 Meeting. <br />33 <br />34 Councilmember Gray attended the May 16 City Tour and work session. <br />35 <br />36 Councilmember Brever also attended the May 16 City Tour and work session. <br />37 <br />38 Mayor Faust attended the May 16 City Tour and work session. On May 19, he and City Manager <br />39 Casey attended a meeting with another City and talk about organized collection. <br />40 <br />41 VIII. COMMUNITY FORUM. <br />42 <br />43 Mr. Ira Marts, 3220 Edgemere Avenue, stated he has lived there for thirty years and on his street, <br />44 people are driving way too fast. He explained there are a number of preschool aged children on <br />45 the street and he is trying to avoid a tragedy. He does not know what needs to happen to get <br />46 people to slow down. Chris Farhead, a neighbor, stated vehicles are not slowing for the <br />
