City Council Regular Meeting Minutes
June 13, 2017
Page 3
Councilmember Stille asked how this will be presented to the public. City Manager Casey stated
it will be included on the City website and newsletters (Fall and Winter). This document is fluid
and subject to change.

Mayor Faust stated this is done on a needs basis. Mayor Faust noted residents should refer to the
revision date of the plan they may have and updated copies are available at City Hall.
C. Resolution 17-051, a Resolution to Approve Ordering Feasibility Report for 2018 Street
and Utility Reconstruction Proiect

City Engineer Todd Hubmer presented a resolution for Council consideration for ordering the
preparation of a feasibility report for the 2018 Street and Utility Improvement Project. The
project proposes the following locations for street and utility reconstruction:
• MacAlaster Drive from 371 Avenue NE to railroad tracks.
• Foss road from 37' Avenue NE to Chandler Drive.
• Highcrest Road from 37`x' Avenue NE to cul-de-sac.

Mr. Hubmer noted the location of the proposed project for 2018 has been changed from the
Street and Utility CIP presented last year. During the annual spring road tour with the Public
Works Department it was noted the utility and pavement condition of the location being
proposed was very poor and required more immediate attention. In addition to the proposed 2018
project location, an adjustment to the timing of other future project locations is being
recommended. The revised Street and Utility CIP was provided for Council consideration.

In addition to the locations described, the feasibility report will also include the review and cost
analysis of the following improvements:
• Asphalt mill and overlay of Anthony Lane from county Road C to cul-de-sac.
• Central Park splash pad water reuse/irrigation retrofit.

Mr. Hubmer recommended that the mill and overlay of Anthony Lane be considered with the
2018 improvement project due to the time and resources that Public Works Staff has been
spending on repairing deteriorating pavement on Anthony Lane. Staff also recommends the
addition of the Central Park water reuse improvements to the 2018 improvement project. Mr.
Hubmer reviewed the project schedule.

Motion by Councilmember Brever, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to adopt Resolution 17-
051; a Resolution Approving Ordering Feasibility Report for 2018 Street and Utility
Reconstruction Project.

Motion carried 5-0.

VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS.

City Manager Casey had no report.
