CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 17 -050 <br />A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP THREE (3) HENS IN AN R -1 <br />ZONING DISTRICT AT 3313 WENDHURST AVENUE <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Adrienne Olson for permission to keep chickens on her <br />property located at 3313 Wendhurst Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56, Keeping of Certain <br />Animals, specifies that livestock, including fowl, require approval from the City <br />Council; and <br />WHEREAS, Adrienne Olson has submitted a written request for approval from the City Council, <br />as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve their request to keep chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Adrienne Olson has submitted a diagram showing the dimensions and placement of <br />the enclosure that will house the chickens in relation to their property; and <br />WHEREAS, the submitted materials show a reasonable plan for the chicken coop location and <br />design and indicate support from surrounding neighbors; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter is within <br />the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village approves the request <br />to keep three (3) chickens in an R -1 Zoning District at 3313 Wendhurst Avenue. <br />Adopted this 13th day of June, 2017. <br />/ 77 <br />Jerome O.
