CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 17 -045 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP FOUR (4) FEMALE CHICKENS IN <br />AN R -1 ZONING DISTRICT AT 3626 BELDEN DR NE <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Michael Guest and Kim Borton for permission to keep <br />chickens on the property located at 3626 Belden Dr NE; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56, Keeping of Certain <br />Animals, specifies that livestock, including fowl, require approval from the City <br />Council; and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicants have submitted a written request for approval from the City Council, <br />as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve their request to keep chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, the Applicants have submitted a diagram showing the dimensions and placement of <br />the enclosure that will house the chickens in relation to their property; and <br />WHEREAS, the submitted materials show a reasonable plan for the chicken coop location and <br />design; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter is within <br />the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village <br />approves the request to keep four (4) chickens in an R -1 Zoning District at 3626 Belden Dr NE. <br />Adopted this 23rd day of May, 2017. <br />Jerome O.
