CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 17 -057 <br />• RESOLUTION SUPPORTING HENNEPIN COUNTY'S EFFORTS SEEKING APPROVAL FOR <br />• FUNCTIONAL CLASS UPGRADE OF KENZIE TERRACE AND ST. ANTHONY BOULEVARD <br />WHEREAS, the existing Kenzie Terrace roadway has been identified as in need of future capital <br />improvements by Hennepin County staff; and <br />WHEREAS, the roadway segment lacks adequate bicycle and pedestrian accommodations and the City of <br />St. Anthony is experiencing redevelopment adjacent to these roadways; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County is seeking a functional class upgrade from Metropolitan Council to A- <br />Minor Arterial status to provide eligibility for Regional Solicitation funding; and <br />WHEREAS, this functional classification upgrade would not affect these roadways in terms of operation <br />or access; and <br />WHEREAS, at this time, Hennepin County has not allocated any capital funding towards improvements <br />along Kenzie Terrace within its Board Approved 2017 -2021 Transportation CIP; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County will work directly with City of St. Anthony staff in developing preferred <br />concepts once funding has been allocated in the county's capital budget. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village that: <br />1.
