CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 17 -062 <br />A RESOLUTION SETTING THE PROPOSED 2018 TAX LEVY AND GENERAL OPERATING <br />BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />WHEREAS, Minnesota State Law requires that the City of St. Anthony Village provide Hennepin and <br />Ramsey Counties with a proposed 2018 certified property tax levy and operating budget; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council discussed Debt Levy planning at the May 30`h work session and a public <br />meeting was held on May 91h reviewing key financial issues and budgeting goals which <br />invited public input on the budget process; and <br />WHEREAS, the allowed Debt Levies will be reduced by $526,880; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council further reviewed the proposed 2018 property tax levy and general <br />operation budget at the August 22, 2017, City Council meeting; and <br />WHEREAS, the preliminary tax levy and budget is contingent upon any revisions allowed if the current <br />law is modified; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council will determine a definitive property tax levy and budget at the <br />Tuesday, December 12, 2017, public hearing held at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that: <br />1) The proposed 2018 Property Tax Levy is: <br />General Operating Levy <br />$3,975,534 <br />Capital Improvement Project Levy <br />$ 233,200 <br />Road Improvement Levy <br />$1,833,431 <br />Lease Revenue Bonds <br />$ 344,882 <br />Housing and Redevelopment Authority Levy <br />$ 162,534 <br />Tax Abatement Levy <br />$ 227,430 <br />Building Improvement Levy <br />$ 73,000 <br />$6,850,011 <br />2) The proposed 2018 General Operating Budget totals $6,844,116 <br />Adopted this 12th day of September, 2017. <br />ATTEST: <br />Ni le Miller, City Clerk <br />Reviewed for administration: <br />Jerome O.
