CALL TO ORDER. <br />9 <br />10 Chair Heinis called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />11 <br />12 II. ROLL CALL. <br />13 <br />14 Commissioners Present: Chairperson Heinis; Commissioners Cincoski, Jensen, Niccum, and <br />15 Poucher. <br />16 Absent: Commissioners Chaput and Crone. <br />17 Also Present: Interim City Planner Jacqueline Corkle. <br />18 <br />19 III. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. <br />20 <br />21 Chair Heinis invited the Commission and the audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />22 <br />23 IV. APPROVAL OF MEETING AGENDA. <br />24 <br />25 Motion by Commissioner Cincoski, second by Commissioner Jensen, to approve the meeting <br />26 agenda of June 19, 2012. <br />27 <br />28 Motion carried 5 -0. <br />29 <br />30 V. APPROVAL OF MEETING MINUTES. <br />31 <br />32 Motion by Commissioner Jensen, second by Commissioner Poucher, to approve the June 4. <br />33 2012, Special Planning Commission Meeting Minutes. <br />34 <br />35 Motion carried 4 -0 -1 (Cincoski abstain). <br />36 <br />37 VI. PUBLIC HEARINGS. <br />38 <br />39 VI.1. Request for a Variance to Exceed the Amount of Lot Coverage for 3301 — 3151 Avenue <br />40 NE: Curt & Jane Wollan. <br />41 <br />42 Chair Heinis opened the public hearing at 7:07 p.m. <br />43 <br />44 Interim City Planner Corkle explained the applicants have submitted a request for a variance to <br />45 exceed lot coverage and stated the property has a long driveway extending from the front of the <br />46 property to the rear of the parcel, which accounts for a significant amount of impervious surface. <br />47 She stated the property already exceeds the limit of 35% lot coverage with total impervious <br />48 surface of approximately 5,011 square feet or approximately 55 %. She presented a revised <br />49 concept, which adds a concrete sidewalk leading from the driveway to the front steps of the <br />
