To: St. Anthony Village Mayor and City Council
From: Tony Fragnito- St. Anthony Area Chamber of Commerce
RE: Touch a Truck Event
The St. Anthony Area Chamber of Commerce would like to hold a community event called "Touch a
Truck." We have solidified a partnership with Inland Real Estate to hold the event at Silver Lake Village.
Our request is two part for the city.
1. We would like to close 39th from Chipotle to Salo Park from LOAM to 6PM on September 14, 2013.
2. Ask the Emergency Service (police and fire) and Public Works Departments to partner with us and
provide vehicles.
The idea of this event is to expose the community to the services the city provides. By having all the
vehicles out for people to look around and climb in we will be exposing the community a (mainly
children) to the emergency service crew in a non - crisis environment.
If we are able to close off the street we can park the large vehicles on the street and let the public
explore them.
This is a win —win event for everyone. The city does community outreach, the businesses of Silver Lake
Village get a lot of traffic they wouldn't normally see, and the Chamber will get publicity.
In short we would like the City of St. Anthony to partner with us to create a wonderful community event.
What: Touch a Truck
Where: 39th from Chipotle to Salo Park
When: Sept. 14, 2013 from 9AM to 613M (set up from 9 -11)
Who: St. Anthony Area Chamber of Commerce, City of St. Anthony, and Inland Real Estate.
