City of St. Anthony <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />City Council Chambers <br />June 3, 2013 <br />Present: <br />Mayor & Council. Jerry Faust, Mayor; Hal Gray, Councilmember, Jan Jenson, Councilmember; Jim Roth, <br />Councilmember; Randy Stille, Councilmember. <br />Absent: <br />None <br />Staff: <br />Mark Casey, City Manager <br />Consultants: <br />Kelsey Johnson, City Planner <br />Guest: <br />Tony Fragnito and Eric Bloom, Chamber of Commerce <br />Call to Order: <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Faust at 5:30 p.m. <br />Fence Ordinance: <br />Planner Johnson presented draft changes to the Fence Ordinance. This has been reviewed and recommended by <br />the Planning Commission. By consensus, staff was directed to review sections on both the location, recreation/ <br />open space and consider the impact of the vision triangle on the landscaping ordinance. <br />Sustainability Ordinance: <br />Planning Johnson sought prioritization for new sustainability ordinance creation. By consensus, the following is the <br />order of priority: pervious pavement, solar, green roof, urban farming and native vegetation. <br />St. Anthony Area Chamber of Commerce Event Request: <br />Representing the Chamber, Fragnito and Bloom presented a concept of a special event to be held on a Saturday in <br />September at Silver Lake Village. By consensus, there was no issue with temporarily closing 391" Avenue for the <br />day. It was expressed that City would like to be a partner, but not the focus or the focal point of the event. <br />Business Retention & Expansion (BR &E) Program: <br />Casey presented the BR &E program that is sponsored by the Chamber. Casey discussed the first visit to Industrial <br />Custom Products. <br />Twitter: <br />Casey presented information on the City's Twitter account which will be " @CityofStAnthony ". The City Clerk Suciu <br />will be the point person. By consensus, it was advised that Suciu seek out training. <br />LMC Conference: <br />Casey presented information on the attendees of the formal elected officials for the Centennial Celebration. It was <br />decided that we will wear the light blue shirts on Wednesday, tan on Thursday and dark blue on Friday. <br />Clean -up Day Recap: <br />Casey presented a summary of the event. Casey stated staff will work on getting a cardboard only dumpster. <br />
