City of St. Anthony <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />City Council Chambers <br />September 30, 2013 <br />Present: <br />Mayor & Council. Jerry Faust, Mayor; Hal Gray, Councilmember, Jan Jenson, Councilmember; Jim Roth, <br />Councilmember; Randy Stille, Councilmember. <br />Absent: <br />None <br />Staff: <br />Mark Casey, City Manager and Jay Hartman, Public Works Director <br />Consultants: <br />Schawn Johnson, HR Advisor, Mike Music, Integrated Loss Control and Todd Hubmer, Engineer, WSB <br />Call to Order: <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Faust at 5:30 p.m. <br />Safety Program Update: <br />Schawn Johnson and Mike Music presented information on the City's safety program including goals, <br />accomplishments and future areas of direction. <br />Policy on Flooding Response: <br />Hubmer presented a Drainage and Flood Assistance Policy. For reference, the 2001 Flood Relief Program was <br />distributed along with a map showing past improvements and identified current issues. By consensus, staff was <br />directed to add a per household maximum of $10,000 or 65% (whichever is greater) and not to exceed $100,000 of <br />City funds expended. Staff will bring back the revisions. <br />E- Cigarettes: <br />Casey presented a memo from City Planner Johnson discussing possible additions to the City Code relating to <br />Electronic cigarettes. No action was taken. <br />Birchwood: <br />Casey presented a proposal for expanded financial services. No action was taken. <br />2014 Calendar: <br />Casey presented the 2014 meeting calendar. <br />Adjourn: <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:58 p.m. <br />Minutes respectfully submitted by Mark Casey, City Manager. <br />
