CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 17 -077 <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ONE YEAR JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT WITH <br />RAMSEY COUNTY FOR THE USE OF YARD WASTE MANAGEMENT SITES FOR ALL <br />ST. ANTHONY RESIDENTS <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County operates a yard waste management system, which includes seven sites <br />for the collection of yard waste from Ramsey County residents; and <br />WHEREAS, Organics policy in the Ramsey County Solid Waste Management Master Plan states <br />that the yard -waste sites are "only for residents of Ramsey County"; and <br />WHEREAS, A portion of the City of Saint Anthony is within Hennepin County, and City residents <br />within that area are not allowed to use the County's yard waste sites; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Saint Anthony would like to provide additional yard waste management <br />opportunities to all of its residents, whether they reside in Ramsey County or Hennepin <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County has been willing to make yard waste services available to the City of <br />Saint Anthony for a reasonable cost, through a series of joint powers agreements with <br />the City; and <br />WHEREAS, The City of Saint Anthony and Ramsey County have determined that the amount of <br />SCORE funds allocated to the City on an annual basis approximates the cost of Ramsey <br />County providing the City of Saint Anthony residents that reside in Hennepin County <br />with yard waste services; Now, Therefore, Be It <br />RESOLVED, The Ramsey County Board of Commissioners approves the Joint Powers Agreement <br />between Ramsey County and the City of Saint Anthony for Use of Yard Waste <br />Management Sites, for the period of January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2018; and, <br />Be It Further <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village <br />hereby approve the Joint Powers Agreement between the City of Saint Anthony and Ramsey County <br />for the Use of Yard Waste Management Sites, for the period of January 1, 2018 through December 31, <br />2018. <br />Adopted this 28`h day of November, 2017 <br />ATTEST: J�� ::�;�7 <br />Nicole Miller, City C rk <br />Review for Administration: <br />Jerome O.
