This partnership has realized many advantages, such as economies of scale, 1 <br />consistency, transparency, and continuity of evidence across jurisdictional borders, and ease of 2 <br />operation. 3 <br /> 4 <br />Captain Spiess stated earlier this year, the St. Anthony Police Department made application with 5 <br />the Department of Justice for their Body Worn Camera Policy and implementation Program 6 <br />grant. This grant was written in conjunction with the Roseville Police Department, with St. 7 <br />Anthony being the grantee and Roseville applying as the subrecipient to the grant. This was 8 <br />conducted as a partnership with the Roseville Police Department due to the positive outcomes we 9 <br />have realized with past and current partnerships between departments. 10 <br /> 11 <br />Councilmember Stille asked about the grant amounts. Captain Spiess stated in October, the DOJ 12 <br />announced the award of the grant in the amount of $123,000 with $40,500 to St. Anthony and 13 <br />$82,500 to Roseville. The administration of the grant carries a 50% match funding requirement 14 <br />by each agency, along with several other reporting and recordkeeping requirements. A draft of 15 <br />the contract agreement between the City of St. Anthony and the City of Roseville was provided 16 <br />for Council review and staff recommends City Council approval. 17 <br /> 18 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve Resolution 19 <br />17-078; a Resolution approving the Joint Contract Agreement Regarding Body Worn Camera 20 <br />Policy and Implementation Program Grant in Conjunction with the Roseville Police Department. 21 <br /> 22 <br />Mayor Faust noted Roseville provides the IT services and it is critical to the storage component 23 <br />of the body cams. 24 <br /> 25 <br />Councilmember Stille stated this is a natural partnership with Roseville and monies are saved by 26 <br />working together with no liability risk to the City. 27 <br /> 28 <br />Motion Carried 4-0 29 <br /> 30 <br />B. Ordinance 2017-04; an Ordinance Setting Sewer, Water and Storm Water charges for 31 <br />2018. 32 <br /> 33 <br />City Manager Casey presented the 2nd reading of this Ordinance. The 3rd and final reading will 34 <br />be on December 12, 2017. 35 <br /> 36 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Stille, to approve 2nd Reading of 37 <br />Ordinance 2017-04; an Ordinance Setting Sewer, Water and Storm Water charges for 2018. 38 <br /> 39 <br />Councilmember Stille noted the Finance Director presented the detailed information at the 1st 40 <br />Reading. 41 <br /> 42 <br />Motion Carried 4-0 43 <br /> 44 <br />C.
