CHAPTER 153: STORM WATER MANAGEMENT <br /> <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />153.01 Statutory authorization <br />153.02 Findings <br />153.03 Purpose <br />153.04 Definitions <br />153.05 Scope and effect <br />153.06 Plan approval procedures <br />153.07 Plan review procedure <br />153.08 Approval standards <br />153.09 Other controls <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />§ 153.01 STATUTORY AUTHORIZATION. <br /> <br />This chapter is adopted pursuant to M.S. §§ 462.351 through 462.365, as they may be amended from <br />time to time. <br />(1993 Code, § 1675.01) <br /> <br /> <br />§ 153.02 FINDINGS. <br /> <br />The city hereby finds that uncontrolled and inadequately planned use of wetlands, woodlands, <br />natural habitat areas, areas subject to soil erosion and areas containing restrictive soils, adversely affects <br />the public health, safety and general welfare by impacting water quality and contributing to other <br />environmental problems, creating nuisances, impairing other beneficial uses of environmental resources <br />and hindering the ability of the city to provide adequate water, sewage, flood control, and other services. <br />(1993 Code, § 1675.02) <br /> <br /> <br />§ 153.03 PURPOSE. <br /> <br />The purpose of this chapter is to address the findings in § 153.02 and to promote, preserve, and <br />enhance the natural resources within the city. <br />(1993 Code, § 1675.03) <br /> <br /> <br /> 108
