n h <br />'� <br />2014 STRATEGIC PLAN <br />Introduction <br />City leaders in St. Anthony Village conducted a <br />Strategic Planning/Goal Setting Workshop on <br />January 23rd and 24th, 2014. Participants included: <br />Mayor Jerry Faust <br />Councilmember Hal Gray <br />Councilmember Jan Jenson <br />Councilmember Jim Roth <br />Councilmember Randy Stille <br />City Manager Mark Casey <br />City Clerk Barb Suciu <br />Finance Director Shelly Rueckert <br />Fire Chief Mark Sitarz <br />Liquor Operations Manager Mike Larson <br />Police Chief John Ohl <br />Public Works Director Jay Hartman <br />Planning Commissioner Brian Heinis <br />Parks Commissioner Elissa Schloesser <br />City Engineer Todd Hubmer <br />City Planner Kelsey Johnson <br />Human Resources Schawn Johnson <br />Finance Consultant Stacie Kvilvang <br />City Attorney's Jerry Gilligan and Jay Lindgren <br />Also, in attendance was two staff from the League <br />of Minnesota Cities: Don Reeder and Lena Gould. <br />The City of St. Anthony is widely respected as a <br />cohesive group that works well together as a team, <br />shares mutual respect, and understands roles and <br />responsibilities. The City Council and staff share in <br />a large amount of pride in working together for the <br />best interests of the citizens of the community. The <br />work sessions are recognized for positive, healthy <br />and productive discussions. Each individual <br />opinion is respected and all ideas are welcome. This <br />is an important priority and post session feedback <br />reinforced this outcome for the discussions that <br />took place. <br />The participants were asked to reflect upon qualities <br />that make up top functioning municipal <br />governments. The facilitator introduced several <br />concepts for consideration. The Council members <br />noted the high value of working as a team, the "It <br />Factor" and having strong trusting relationships. <br />
