6m thong <br />i la C% <br />Short Terra Priorities <br />2013 Strategic Plan <br />The participants engaged in a robust discussion about the short term priorities of the City. A <br />large number of items were identified. Some of these items will be reflected in the 2013 <br />Pyramid and others will be an ongoing priority. A sampling of the topics and priorities includes: <br />Tour of the City <br />Maintenance plans for city buildings <br />Citizen's survey and academy <br />Media plan and strategy <br />Redevelopment strategies <br />Validate organizational study <br />Social media policy <br />Broader shared services study <br />Update environmental code <br />Employee training and wellness <br />Long Term Vision <br />New election equipment <br />Lowry Grove redevelopment <br />City storage (Police Department) <br />Re-evaluate the value of CAFR <br />Technology strategic plan <br />Flood mitigation <br />Traffic studies and devices <br />Funding plan for large items <br />Ramsey County CAD -Mobile <br />The participants spent a considerable amount of time focusing on the long term future. Each <br />individual was asked to reflect upon how the City will look in 2025. The discussion was wide- <br />ranging and informative. Many ideas were put on the table; a sampling of them includes the <br />following: <br />Single garbage hauler <br />Technology "Village" Industrial park <br />Street reconstruction completed <br />New municipal facilities <br />Active collaborations <br />Retain the Plan "B" form of government <br />Higher density land uses <br />E -transactions and customer service <br />Utilities will be underground <br />Addendums <br />Organic recycling <br />Expanded trails and sidewalks <br />Better lake water quality <br />Paper -less office <br />Transportation and transit <br />Different housing stock <br />Community intense agriculture <br />City employee profile <br />Addendum 1 is the final version of the 2013 strategic plan pyramid. On Friday morning the <br />participants reviewed the 2012 Pyramid. The 2013 Pyramid reflects the immediate goals and <br />objectives of the City of St. Anthony Village. This document serves as a road -map for the City <br />Council and staff. <br />Addendum 2 is a copy of the city staff Pre -planning work session outline and discussion <br />questions. The staff met on November 13, 2012 to begin the discussion on the longterm vision <br />of the City. <br />J
