2017 Annual Report • Police Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br />10 | P a g e <br /> <br />prestigious State of Minnesota Commissioners Award for their hard work and dedication in <br />preventing traffic related deaths and injuries. <br />The St. Anthony Police Department embraces and practices <br />community oriented and constitutional policing philosophies. <br />Educating the public, mentoring the youth, and involving <br />community stakeholders are the foundations of our service delivery <br />and crime prevention strategies. Our patrol officers continue to <br />work hard at promoting relationships with community members <br />on best practices to problem solve in their neighborhoods. These <br />officers can often be found enjoying a cup of coffee with a business <br />owner, visiting with neighbors out for a walk, or chatting with kids <br />at the skate park. These valued partnerships are essential in <br />achieving the City’s overall goal of being a walkable Village, which is safe and secure. <br />Another vital component to keeping our city safe is ensuring a safe traveling experience for all <br />who reside, work, and/or visit our community. The patrol division is committed to this <br />objective through traffic safety-driven enforcement and education of our traffic laws.
