Department Summary <br />The following pages consist of annual statistics, activities, crime reports, investigations, use of resources, <br />and other initiatives during the year starting January 1, 2017 and ending December 31, 2017. <br />DEPARTMENT AUTHORIZED STRENGTH <br />23 full time police officers. Eight of these officers are employed due to revenues received from our <br />contract cities. <br /> 14 volunteer reserve officers <br /> 1 full time community service officer <br /> 2 full time civilian support staff <br /> 1 part time civilian support staff <br />In April, Officer Joe Kauser resigned his position as police officer with the department for an <br />employment opportunity with another city. Under a voluntary separation agreement, Officer Jeronimo <br />Yanez left police employment, with the city, in July. In September, we experienced the retirement of <br />Lieutenant Jeffery Scholl (33 years). No one was hired to replace these officers as the police department <br />is authorized to begin 2018 with 20 full time police officers. In December, the city eliminated the part- <br />time civilian support staff position. <br />Effective September, the department underwent changes in leadership with the promotion of Sergeant <br />Dan Diegnau to the rank of Lieutenant and Officer Jeremy Sroga was promoted to the rank of Sergeant. <br />December 31st, 2017, marked the last day of St. Anthony police service to the City of Falcon Heights. <br />ST. ANTHONY POLICE DEPARTMENT BUDGET <br />Total budget for the year 2017, including revenues from our contract cities was, $3,471,245. <br />ST. ANTHONY POLICE FLEET <br /> 7 – Marked Squads <br /> 1 – Marked Reserve Unit <br /> 1 – Marked CSO Unit <br /> 5 – Unmarked Units <br /> <br /> Total 14 Units <br />
