CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 18 -035 <br />A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CONTAMINATION GRANT APPLICATION SUBMITTED <br />TO THE DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (DEED) BY THE <br />VILLAGE, LLC FOR ENVIRONMENTAL REMEDIATION AT 2501 LOWRY AVENUE. <br />WHEREAS, the Village, LLC has received preliminary approval for the development of up to 430 multi - family <br />homes on the property located at 2501 Lowry Avenue; and <br />WHEREAS, a Voluntary Response Action Plan (VRAP) has been approved by the Minnesota Pollution Control <br />Agency outlining the contamination on the site and proposing a remediation plan; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to remediate contamination on the property; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village approves of <br />the application for which an Environmental Response Fund grant application is being submitted to the Hennepin <br />County Environment and Energy Department by the Village, LLC for environmental remediation at 2501 Lowry <br />Avenue; and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village has approved the <br />Contamination Cleanup grant application submitted to the Department of Employment and Economic <br />Development (DEED) by The Village, LLC for environmental remediation at 2501 Lowry Avenue (but the City <br />has not completed review or made any commitment to the use of tax increment financing referenced in the <br />application); and <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the city of St. Anthony Village is located within the seven county <br />metropolitan area defined in section 473.121, subdivision 2, and is participating in the local housing incentives <br />program under section 473.254. <br />Adopted this 10`h day of April, 2018.
