CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 18 -040 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP TEN (10) FEMALE CHICKENS <br />IN AN R -1 ZONING DISTRICT AT 2616 27TH AVE NE <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Susan Cox and Jesse Piktuma for permission <br />to keep chickens on their property located at 2616 27th Ave NE; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56, Keeping of <br />Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including fowl, require approval from the City Council; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Susan Cox and Jesse Pikturna have submitted a written request for approval <br />from the City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve their request to keep chickens; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Susan Cox and Jesse Pikturna have submitted a diagram showing the <br />dimensions and placement of the enclosure that will house the chickens in relation to their <br />property; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter <br />is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. <br />Anthony Village approves the request to keep ten (10) female chickens in an R -I Zoning District <br />at 2616 27" Ave NE. <br />APPROVED in the regular session of the City Council on May 8, 2018. <br />Jerome O.
