CITY OF ST. ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />RESOLUTION 1 8-039 <br />RESOLUTION TO APPROVE A REQUEST TO KEEP SIX (6) FEMALE CHICKENS IN <br />AN R -1 ZONING DISTRICT AT 3419 HARDING ST NE <br />WHEREAS, staff received a request from Jenna Legatt and Jake Otremba for permission <br />to keep female chickens on their property located at 3419 Harding St NE; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of St. Anthony Code of Ordinances, Section 91.56, Keeping of <br />Certain Animals, specifies that livestock, including fowl, require approval from the City Council; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Jenna Legatt and Jake Otremba have submitted a written request for <br />approval from the City Council, as outlined in Subsection 91.56, to approve their request to keep <br />female chickens; and <br />WHEREAS, Jenna Legatt and Jake Otremba have submitted a diagram showing the <br />placement of the enclosure that will house the chickens in relation to their property; and <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County Environmental Health Division has stated that this matter <br />is within the City's jurisdiction and authority; and <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. <br />Anthony Village approves the request to keep six (6) chickens in an R -1 Zoning District at 3419 <br />Harding St NE. <br />APPROVED in the regular session of the City 99ncil on May 8, 2018. <br />Jerome O.
