<br /> <br /> <br />MEMORANDUM <br /> <br />To: St. Anthony Village City Council <br />From: Breanne Rothstein, AICP, City Planner <br /> <br />Date: May 10, 2018 <br /> City Council Regular Meeting for May 22, 2018 <br /> <br />WSB Project No. 011104‐000 <br />Request: Request to keep four (4) female chickens in an R‐1 Zoning District at 3609 <br />33rd Ave NE <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff received an inquiry from the Applicant on May 8th requesting information about what they needed <br />to do in order to be able to have chickens on their property. They were directed to provide a written <br />request to the City Council in the form of a letter, outlining what they intended to do. <br />The Applicant provided an overview of their plans in the form of a letter. They state that they plan to <br />keep the coop near the northeast corner of their property line, inside their 6‐foot chain link fence. The <br />coop location is more than 25 feet from any structures, the closest of which is their neighbor’s <br />barn/garage to the east. They also state there are 14 feet to the north before a neighboring wooden <br />fence. They say they have discussed their plans with their neighbors and that their neighbors are <br />supportive of their intentions to keep chickens. <br />The applicants are requesting approval for 4 female chickens. <br />Site location: <br /> <br />33
