City of St. Anthony  <br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION  <br />City Council Chambers  <br />Minutes  <br />May 29, 2018  <br />Present:   <br />Mayor & Council. Jerry Faust, Mayor; Hal Gray, Councilmember; Jan Jenson, Councilmember; Randy Stille,  <br />Councilmember, and Thomas Randle, Councilmember.  <br />Absent:   <br />None  <br />Staff:   <br />Mark Casey, City Manager  <br />Consultants:   <br />Jay Lindgren, City Attorney (Dorsey) and Stacie Kvilvang, Financial Advisor (Ehlers)  <br />Call to Order:   <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Faust at 7:00 p.m.  <br />Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Request:   <br />Kvilvang reviewed her memo regarding a TIF request for the former Lowry Grove Manufactured Home Park.   <br />Robert Strachota, Shenehon Company, reviewed a memo he presented at the meeting. Traci Thomas, The Villages  <br />LLC, requested the mayor and councilmember’s input on the TIF request.  Individually, each member of the council  <br />gave detailed reasons expressing their lack of support in creating a TIF partnership as presented by the applicant.   <br />In response to Thomas’ question on next steps, Lindgren stated the applicant can withdraw their request or  <br />formally request action from the council.    <br />  <br />Adjourn:   <br />The meeting adjourned at 7:47 p.m.  <br />  <br />Minutes respectfully submitted by Mark Casey, City Manager.
