SHARED SERVICES

Grants: Each year, the City actively participates in Federal, State and County administered
grants. In 2017 the Police, Fire, Public Works and Administration received a variety of public
safety, operating, equipment and infrastructure construction grants. A list of the grants includes:

A. Minnesota Firefighter Disability Grant.
B. State of Minnesota – Vest Grant.
C. Ramsey County – Safe and Sober Grant.
D. Minnesota Board of Firefighter Training & Education Grant.
E. Hennepin County Recycling Grant.
F. Ramsey County Recycling Grant.
G. US Department of Justice, Police Body Camera grant
H. Estate of John D. MacQueen (Police Department)
I. Metropolitan Council Inflow and Infiltration Grant

Partnerships: The City partners with local businesses, civic organizations, School District 282,
Community Services and the Chamber of Commerce to provide a variety of community safety
and education programs. The City also has formed partnerships with colleagues in other
jurisdictions. These relationships include providing financial and human resource services to the
Middle Mississippi Water Management Organization, a fuel purchasing arrangement with the
City of New Brighton, utility billing services to the City of Birchwood Village and police
services to the City of Lauderdale. Lastly the City partners with neighboring communities on
infrastructure projects when opportunity arises. A recent example would be the Highway Safety
Improvement Program which involved three cities and two counties.

Acknowledgements:

Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to the Mayor and the City Council. Their
unfailing support for maintaining the highest standard of professionalism in the management of
the City of St. Anthony’s finances results in a fiscally sustainable City government.

Respectfully submitted,

_________________________________ _________________________________
Mark Casey Shelly Rueckert
City Manager Finance Director

6
