City Council Regular Meeting Minutes <br />July 24, 2018 <br />Page 3 <br />2 <br />3 VI. GENERAL BUSINESS OF COUNCIL. <br />4 <br />5 A. Liquor Operations Mid -Year Report. <br />6 <br />7 Mr. Mike Larson, Liquor Operations Manager, provided a PowerPoint presentation of the Liquor <br />8 Operations Mid -Year Report. He reviewed the locations, Mission Statement, Vision Statement, <br />9 the Value of Municipal Liquor Operation Revenue, Trends through June 2018, 2018 Sales <br />10 Projection, 2018 Net Income Projection, 2018 Sales Comparison, Sunday Sales 2018 <br />11 Accomplishments, and Looking Ahead — 2018. Mr. Larson referred to the website where the <br />12 event calendar, monthly specials, product requests, store hours, contact information, notify me, <br />13 email, and text alerts can be found. <br />14 <br />15 Managers Kevin Morelli and Bill Haugen were also present at the meeting. Mr. Larson thanked <br />16 City Clerk Nicole Miller for her assistance on the website. Mr. Larson explained the upcoming <br />17 loyalty program and stated the entire report will be available on the City website. <br />18 <br />19 Mayor Faust thanked Mr. Larson for his report. <br />20 <br />21 Councilmember Stille stated it has been a rough couple of years with many changes. <br />22 <br />23 VII. REPORTS FROM CITY MANAGER AND COUNCIL MEMBERS. <br />24 <br />25 City Manager Casey stated in the past with street projects, there has been street project education <br />26 events that gives residents the opportunity to learn how projects are done. This year's event will <br />27 be held on August 15, 2018 at 5 p.m. on the comer of Foss Road and Chandler. <br />28 <br />29 An Open House for the 27s' Avenue and Pahl Traffic Study was held on Monday, July 16, and <br />30 the PowerPoint presentation from that Open House is available on the City's website. As a result, <br />31 WSB will continue to do the analysis and present their findings at an upcoming information <br />32 meeting — date TBD. The final report and recommendations will be presented to Council. <br />33 <br />34 Mr. Casey mentioned two police officers were dispatched to a possible suicide in progress when <br />35 the caller saw a posting on Facebook and called 911. The officers had to do a forced entry, <br />36 knocked down the door, removed the hanging victim, and performed the necessary first aid. He <br />37 noted this is another example of outstanding work by the Police Department. <br />38 <br />39 Councilmember Randle stated he and Councilmember Stille attending Coffee with the Council <br />40 on July 14 at Autumn Woods. One item brought forward was the fact the City does not test an <br />41 individual's water. The City tests water as a City, but not on an individual level. City Manager <br />42 Casey stated he will follow -up on that matter. <br />43 <br />44 Mayor Faust stated every two years, water is checked within selected homes for lead. Concerned <br />45 residents could contact the Public Works Department. Councilmember Randle stated it was more <br />46 of a curiosity than a concern. <br />
