ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 18-072 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE 2019 INCENTIVE SCORE GRANT REQUEST TO <br />RAMSEY COUNTY <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ramsey County is accepting applications for the use of SCORE funds to improve <br />recycling participation by the public; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Organics policy in the Ramsey County Solid Waste Management Master Plan <br />states that the yard-waste and organic waste recycling sites are “only for residents of <br />Ramsey County”; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A portion of the City of Saint Anthony is within Hennepin County, and City residents <br />within that area have been allowed to use the County's yard waste sites since 2005, <br />pursuant to a joint powers agreement between the City and Ramsey County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Saint Anthony forgoes receipt of its allocated base SCORE funds for use of <br />the Ramsey County yard waste and organic waste recycling sites available to all of its <br />residents <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Saint Anthony is eligible to apply for incentive funding for 2019 for public <br />education and promotion of the new organics drop off site located in the Community <br />Center parking lot and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The City of Saint Anthony is eligible to apply for incentive funding for 2019 for <br />enhanced public education at our annual spring clean-up day held the first Saturday in <br />May; and <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of St. Anthony Village approves the 2019 <br />Incentive SCORE grant application to Ramsey County for the maximum amount of $1,694.00. <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted this 13th day of November, 2018. <br /> _________________________________________ <br /> Jerome O.
