<br /> <br />HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY <br />OF THE <br />CITY OF SAINT ANTHONY VILLAGE <br />RESOLUTION 2018-05 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 3803 STINSON <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Government, acting by and through the United States Marshals <br />Service, is the owner of property located at 3803 Stinson Boulevard (“Property”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the United States Government has offered to sell the Property to the Authority for a <br />purchase price of $250,000; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Property is located within a redevelopment area previously designated by the <br />Authority and is appropriate for redevelopment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Authority is authorized by Minnesota Statute to assemble parcels of land for <br />redevelopment purposes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a purchase agreement with the United States Government is currently under <br />negotiation by Authority staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the purchase agreement will allow the Authority to access the Property for due <br />diligence purposes, including a Phase I environmental assessment and other non-invasive testing <br />of the Property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by Board of Commissioners of the Housing and <br />Redevelopment Authority of the City of Saint Anthony Village the follows: <br /> <br /> The Chair and Executive Director are authorized to (1) negotiate and finalize the <br />purchase of the Property for a purchase price not to exceed $250,000; (2) to retain <br />consultants necessary for due diligence actions regarding the Property; and (3) to <br />incur other customary closing costs. <br /> <br />Adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Housing and Redevelopment Authority of the <br />City of Saint Anthony Village on this 11th day of December, 2018. <br /> <br /> <br /> Jerome O.
