<br />2018 Annual Report • Administration • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />2040 COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE <br />The City of St. Anthony is nearing completion of the required 2018 <br />Update to Comprehensive Plan. This nearly three year process began on <br />January 14, 2016, and over the years The Comp Plan Steering Committee <br />was created and met twelve times. Also in that time period, input was <br />collected throughout the process from over 15 engagement sessions. On <br />November 27, 2018 at the City Council meeting, the council approved the <br />draft comprehensive plan and authorized submission to the <br />Metropolitan Council for review. Once the Metropolitan Council has <br />completed review, the plan will return to the City Council for adoption <br />and implementation. More information is available on page 52. <br /> <br />GOVERNMENT ALLIANCE ON RACE & EQUITY (GARE) <br />The City of St. Anthony recently completed the 2018 GARE <br />Implementation Cohort comprised of governmental entities from <br />around Metro Area that are working with the Government <br />Alliance on Race and Equity (GARE) to advance racial equity in <br />government. <br />GARE is working to advance racial equity and increase <br />opportunities for all communities and building the field of <br />practice to advance racial equity within and through government. More information is available <br />on page 30. <br />
