This investment will ensure sustainable excellence of the City’s most <br />valuable asset – our staff. <br /> <br />Respectful Workplace <br />In 2018, the city held Respectful Workplace <br />training for all employees, elected and appointed <br />officials, and invited staff from the Mississippi <br />Watershed Management Organization. The <br />training was facilitated by Kendra Dodd, HR <br />Director at MRA. 123 people attended one of <br />seven sessions held and all full-time, most part- <br />time and all City Council members attended. <br /> <br />At Your Service <br />Understanding that a high level of customer <br />service is vital to the success of the Liquor <br />Opertion, the city also held customer service <br />training for the Liquor Operations staff, titled <br />“At Your Service Workshop”. The city worked <br />with the Mississippi Watershed Management <br />Organization to facilitate the training, that is <br />offered through the University of Minnesota <br />Extension. The aim is to understand how culture--theirs and the guest’s--affects the service <br />experience, develop skills to identify and respond to customer needs, and gain strategies to <br />create positive customer experiences.
