2018 Annual Report • Fire Department • St. Anthony Village, Minnesota <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />40 | P a g e <br /> <br />Upon completion, a common theme among the 33 in attendance was that many of the lessons <br />learned would apply to other possible incidents they may someday be involved in because as <br />you know, we cannot predict the future but we can certainly train for it. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />In September of 2018, the council adopted the Hennepin County <br />Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation plan. This plan is good for <br />5 years and it serves many purposes including enhancing public <br />awareness and understanding, creates a decision tool for <br />management, promotes compliance with state and federal <br />program requirements, enhances local policies for hazard <br />mitigation capability, provides inter-jurisdictional coordination of <br />mitigation related programming and achieves regulatory compliance.
