BECOME A COMMUNITY PARTNER <br />FOR THE SUSAN G. KOMEN 3-DAY® <br />What is the Susan G. Komen 3-Day? <br />The Susan G. Komen 3-Day is a 60-mile walk for women and men who are ready to go the distance to end breast <br />cancer. Participants raise a minimum of $2,300 and walk an average of 20 miles a day for three consecutive days. <br />Over the past 16 years and 170 events, the Komen 3-Day has raised more than $848 million. The funds raised have <br />helped Komen’s mission to save lives from breast cancer, by investing more than $956 million in breakthrough <br />research and more than $2.1 billion to support people and communities most at risk through programs to provide <br />access to screening, treatment assistance, patient navigation and education. <br />What is a Community Partner? <br />An ideal Community Partner is an organization invested <br />in the community as well as the movement to end <br />breast cancer. They are dedicated to helping spread <br />the word about the 3-Day and providing their clients, <br />customers and staff with the opportunity to support <br />meaningful events like this one. <br />Sponsored by Bank of America, the 2019 3-Day Series <br />includes seven events in Michigan (August 2-4), <br />Twin Cities (August 16-18), New England (September <br />6-8), Seattle (September 13-15), Philadelphia <br />(October 18-20), Dallas/Fort Worth (November 1-3), <br />and San Diego (November 15-17). <br />What You’ll Gain <br />• A unique marketing opportunity to reach a highly-engaged audience. <br />• Opportunity for select Community Partners to activate onsite at your local 3-Day, reaching hundreds, <br />or even thousands, of dedicated 3-Day participants, supporters, friends and family. <br />• The potential to increase traffic to your place of business/website. <br />• High-touch engagement opportunities with a coveted demographic: professional women aged 35+. <br />Promotional Partner Responsibilities <br />•Publicize the 3-Day to your house lists via email 1-2 times. <br />•Publicize the 3-Day via social media 2-3 times. <br />•Poster placement in-store, in a highly visible location, as applicable. <br />Event Partner Responsibilities <br />Each of the Promotional Partner responsibilities listed above, plus: <br />•Work with the 3-Day Local Lead Coordinator to host one promotional event at your business. <br />Join the fight. <br />Partner with the Susan G.
