REQUEST FOR COUNCIL CONSIDERATION  <br />Meeting Date: April 9, 2019 <br />Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk <br />OVERVIEW: <br />In front of you this evening is a request for the use of Silver Point Park as at Pit Stop for Susan G. <br />Komen walkers as they go through the city on Saturday, August 17, 2019. <br />Attached is: <br />• Description of the Event <br />• Description of a typical Pit Stop (for Silver Point Park) <br />• Map of our route through St. Anthony <br />• Two documents that describe ways to be involved with the event (from volunteering to <br />becoming a partner) <br />As for the actual event: <br />• Expecting approximately 400-450 walkers <br />• The first walkers are anticipated to arrive in St. Anthony approximately 7:30-7:45am <br />• The last walkers should be exiting St. Anthony approximately 10:00-10:30am <br />• Pit Stop set up would take place between 5:30am-7:00am (porta potties dropped off the evening <br />before and zip tied shut) <br />• The Pit Stop would be open from 7:45-10:15am <br />• Pit Stop tear down would take place from 10:15am-12:15pm <br />• Entirely off site by 12:15 and have the porta potties picked up shortly after <br />• They will remove all trash from the park. <br />3
