CITY OF ST. ANTHONY 1 CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 APRIL 23, 2019 3 4 CALL TO ORDER. 5 6 Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 8 PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 10 Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 12 ROLL CALL. 13 14 Present: Mayor Faust, Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Randle and Stille. 15 Absent: None 16 Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey and Parks Commission Chair Erin Jordahl Redlin 17 18 CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 19 ITEMS. 20 21 I. APPROVAL OF APRIL 23, 2019 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 22 23 Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded by Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City 24 Council Meeting Agenda of April 23, 2019 as presented. 25 26 Motion carried 5-0. 27 28 II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS 29 30 A. Students in Government Presentation 31 32 This item was delayed in the meeting until all students were present. 33 34 City Manager Casey invited the students to approach the podium. A photograph of the students 35 was shown. A special thank you was given to Councilmember Stille for his assistance during the 36 mock City Council Meeting and answering questions of the students. 37 38 Stuart Scamehorn provided some comments on his experience. He also has participated twice in 39 the program. 40 41 Gabby Herlofsky noted this was her second time participating in the program. 42 43 Councilmember Stille stated the program helped him and he enjoyed his participation. The 44 students debated four different issues. 45 46 Mayor Faust stated this is the third Student in Government Meeting and the second one this 47 school year. He is impressed with the students and their willingness to learn. 48 49 1
