Core Functions <br />The core functions performed by the Finance Department are consistent with relevant legal and <br />professional standards. In addition to these core functions, Finance also supports services for <br />bonding for infrastructure projects, investment and cash flow management, and Tax Increment <br />Financing (TIF) reporting. <br />UTILITY BILLING <br />The utility billing function includes the in-house <br />processing of water/sewer billings. This process <br />includes calculation of water and sewer charges <br />as well as management of quarterly billing <br />statements and receipts. Detailed statistics <br />related to these activities were mentioned earlier <br />and the graphs here represent the historical <br />activity associated annual ground water <br />pumped and new utility accounts. <br />New utility accounts substantially are the <br />results of home sales, along with business <br />transfers and new construction. <br />WATER FACTS <br /> The daily gallons of water usage by all Saint Anthony water <br />customers is shown to the right. <br /> Residential customers used 194,699,840 gallons in 2018. With an <br />estimated population of 9,234 means an average daily use of 57.77 <br />gallons per person. <br /> The treatment of water involves the use of sodium <br />permanganate, chlorine, poly-phosphates, fluoride, UV light, <br />peroxide and granulated carbon.
