ANTHONY 1 <br />CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING MINUTES 2 <br />JUNE 11, 2019 3 <br /> 4 <br />CALL TO ORDER. 5 <br /> 6 <br />Mayor Faust called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. 7 <br /> 8 <br />PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE. 9 <br /> 10 <br />Mayor Faust invited the Council and audience to join him in the Pledge of Allegiance. 11 <br /> 12 <br />ROLL CALL. 13 <br /> 14 <br />Present: Mayor Faust, Councilmembers Gray, Jenson, Randle, and Stille. 15 <br />Absent: 16 <br />Also Present: City Manager Mark Casey, Hennepin County Commissioner Irene Fernando, Ehlers 17 <br />& Associates Representative Keith Dahl, WSB Water Resource Engineer Stephanie 18 <br />Hatten, and GreenCorp Member Minette Saulog. 19 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 <br />CONSIDERATION, DISCUSSION, AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ALL OF THE FOLLOWING 22 <br />ITEMS. 23 <br /> 24 <br />I. APPROVAL OF JUNE 11, 2019 CITY COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA. 25 <br /> 26 <br />Motion by Councilmember Gray, seconded b y Councilmember Jenson, to approve the City 27 <br />Council Meeting Agenda of June11, 2019 as presented. 28 <br />Motion carried 5-0. 29 <br /> 30 <br />II. PROCLAMATIONS AND RECOGNITIONS 31 <br /> 32 <br />A. Presentation from Hennepin County Commissioner Irene Fernando 33 <br /> 34 <br />Commissioner Irene Fernando introduced herself to the City Council. She wants to make her 35 <br />office accessible to the City of St. Anthony and she hopes the two entities can partner. Ms. 36 <br />Fernando stated she wants to be specific on the values she holds and be transparent. Hennepin 37 <br />County is made up of 45 cities and organized into 7 districts. She is the Chair of the Housing and 38 <br />Redevelopment Authority. 39 <br /> 40 <br />Councilmember Stille thanked Commissioner Fernando for coming to St. Anthony and reviewed 41 <br />the history of the relationship between the County and the City. The City has considered adding 42 <br />turf to a ball field by applying to the Hennepin Youth Sports Program. He hopes that 43 <br />Commissioner Fernando will champion the effort when application is made and noted there are 44 <br />two more rounds. 45 <br /> 46 <br />Mayor Faust stated the City has had a long relationship with Hennepin County since the 1970’s. 47 <br />St. Anthony is located in two counties and that turns out to be a benefit.
