ANTHONY <br />PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />MARCH 8, 1999 <br />I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />The meeting was called to order by Chair Jindra at 7:20P.M. (The meeting was not required <br />due to the weather) <br />II. ROLL CALL. <br />Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, <br />Commissioners Paul Louiselle and George Wagner <br />Also Present: Public Works Director Jay Hartman; Representative from Community <br />Services (Diana Roadfeldt); Representative from School Board (Kathie <br />Wolff). <br />Absent: Commissioners Tim Morris, Joanne Kosciolek and Sportsboosters <br />Representative Jan Jensen. <br />III. APPROVAL OF MARCH 8, 1999 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING <br />MINUTES. <br />Motion by Wagner, second by Louiselle to approve the minutes. <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />IV. DESIGNED KOEHNTOP TO MARCH 16 PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING. <br />JINDRA TO MARCH 23, 1999 COUNCIL MEETING. <br />Members of the Parks Commission are also encouraged to attend the March 23, 1999 Council <br />Meeting. <br />V. SILVER POINT PARK UPDATED. No Report <br />VI. DISCUSS WATER TOWER PARK. <br />Jindra introduced Augie Wong from BRW. Augie presented the proposed playground design. <br />The design of Water Tower Park is currently 75 % completed. See attached diagram: <br />The Commission asked questions about the playground surface, fencing around the park area, <br />drinking fountain and restrooms that serve the tennis courts as well as the park users. <br />Augie pointed out trees that need to be removed as part of the park improvement. <br />
