REVIEW SILVER POINT PARK WITH WSB.
Jindra introduced Peter Willenbring from WSB & Associates. Mr. Willenbring
explained the bid process and alternate tabulation for Silver Point Park. Mr.
Willenbring stated that a savings of $200,000 could result from stockpiling the material
from Silver Point Park at Central Park. However, Willenbring stated that he would not
recommend stockpiling the material at Central Park due to the impact it would have on
the parking lot. There would also be costs related to replacing the parking lot.
Willenbring noted that material needed for Central Park improvements could be trucked
in from the Harding improvement project.

Mr. Willenbring recommended Knutson, Inc. for the Silver Point project. There is a
budget of $40,000 set aside for the replacement of playground equipment at Silver
Point Park. It will be the responsibility of the parks Commission to determine what
type of equipment should be purchased. Wolff suggested the Commission look at sub-
committees to select replacement equipment.
-45
