I CITY OF ST. ANTHONY <br />2 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES <br />MAY 1, 2000 <br />4 6:30 p.m. Tower Park <br />5 7:00 p.m. Conference Room <br />6 I. CALL TO ORDER. <br />7 Chair Jindra called the meeting to order at 7:29 p.m. She wished to note for the record that the <br />8 Commission, Augie Wong (BRW, Inc.) and Bob Kost (BRW, Inc.) met at Water Tower Park at <br />9 6:30 p.m. . <br />10 II. ROLL CALL. <br />11 Present: Chair Carol Jindra, Vice Chair Doug Koehntop, Commissioners George <br />12 Wagner (left at 7:50 p.m.), Julie Gebhardt, Colleen Hallada, Daniel <br />13 Ganley, and Jan Jensen. <br />14 Also Present: Representative from School Board (Denise Dunn); Representative from <br />15 Sports Boosters (George Zurbey); Public Works Director (Jay Hartman); <br />16 City Council Liaison (Brian Thuesen). <br />17 A representative from Community Services was not present. <br />R III. APPROVAL OF APRIL 10, 2000 PARKS COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES. <br />.9 Motion by Wagner, seconded by Hallada, to approve the minutes of the April 10, 2000 Parks <br />20 Commission meeting as presented. <br />21 <br />Motion carried unanimously. <br />22 IV. DISCUSS CENTRAL PARK REDEVELOPMENT AND TOWER PARK PUNCH LIST <br />23 ITEMS. <br />24 Chair Jindra reviewed the color options for the repainting of the arches at Water Tower Park. <br />25 After discussion about the recommended colors of tan, red, and burgundy, consensus was to <br />26 approve burgundy. Jindra noted the paint was matched to the existing park equipment and <br />27 requested Augie Wong, BRW, Inc. to inform the Board of the price. <br />28 The issues remaining on the punch list for Water Tower Park were reviewed, which are as <br />29 follows: <br />30 1. Repainting of the metal arches as discussed above. <br />31 2. The metal gates will be spot-checked. <br />32 3. Anything loose on the retaining wall will be glued. <br />33 4. Cracks and ripped concrete on the concrete sidewalk will be taken care of. Cracked sides <br />34 on the handicap ramp will also be redone. A 4 x 8 slab will be added by the glider. <br />15 5. The basketball area will be paved. <br />6 6. The bathroom pavement will be redone at the cost of Arrigoni Brothers. <br />37 7. Fabric is coming apart by the slide in the playground area, it will be checked to see if it is <br />
